Martin in the UK: Sunday in London

DUBLIN CASTLE, LONDON

Sunday, October 12; 2pm-5pm

I love preparing for these talks: going through slides, always too many, and pulling the threads that connect so many together.

Jaz and Geordie introduced me to Al Jourgenson. Trent played saxophone with my band Brian Brain one night, then gave me the oldest NiN demo cassette we know of the following day!

The connections between Skinny Puppy and Killing Joke and Trent and Sharon Tate and Genesis P. Orridge and Rick Rubin….

I’m in a good place — of course, I’ll look at Killing Joke as the Extremities event is coming up – but in general, I’m feeling more of an overview of everything, and a desire to find more of these threads, rather than to dig deeper to talk about some things that John Lydon did (or probably didn’t) do…

Do you know about Chicago icon Cynthia Plastercaster? I might talk about her for a bit too xxxx. Bring questions and anything you might want me to sign – I’m happy to do it! This will be a matinee event starting at 1:45pm! Check out the link for more details.
