For the past few years, we’ve done a kind of experiment to see how much we can take the edge off for anyone that is struggling during the holidays. It seems like things have contracted, the need (in every way) has expanded, and the recent Extremities experience weekend has brought everything sharply into focus.
We ended Friday night’s concert with a ceremonial burning of a cash register to rekindle the embers of the 1990 Money Is Not Our God video we shot in the alley behind Reggie’s – another unexpected resonance between us all. So, it seems like it’s time again for our ‘choose your discount’ weekend to take the edge off, give us hope and a new shirt.
Here’s how it works:
Choose the discount you need: 30%, 60%, or 90% and go shopping! I’m happy to sign anything or put notes in if you want – anything to take the edge off and make things cooler if I can – just add a note on your order to let us know. No guarantees, but I’ll try!
Use the 90% if times are tough (they will get better!!); if the only way you can buy a couple things is by using the 90% code, then go ahead and use it. If it’s not an absolute necessity, please consider leaving it on the table for someone else. We will replenish these over the week randomly. Be nice – we’re trying to help! You could even buy something without a discount, if you want to help us keep doing this crazy shit!
Codes are MINOG30, MINOG60, and MINOG90. We’re putting up a few 90% codes at first and will replenish as we go, 60% has more uses available, and 30% is unlimited. We ask that you please limit your order to 5 items.
IF you’re doing well and don’t need any kind of discount on anything, then please consider buying something to re-balance this crazy equation we’ve created and keep us in business to do this again next year, too! Each year, there are, of course, people who NEEEEED the 90%, but I love reading the notes from people who this has helped in previous years coming back to buy something and help us out!
