Chicago’s legendary lover, fighter, doorman, and raconteur, Steve Silver, comes to the Museum of Post Punk & Industrial Music to give the first Guest Museum Tour -using the objects as starting points for his own unique take on it all. As the door guy at Chicago’s notorious punk rock club, Exit, tour manager with Killing Joke & Pigface, recovering addict, lover of the early days of WaxTrax!, and tenant in the significant 2024 S Wabash Building (H Gun Video, Invisible Records, Lab Report), Steve’s stories are as funny as they are scary – rendered with complete emotional honesty.
I love where our stories intersect. The last time I told the story of the Killing Joke Dollar Bills with Steve around, we both ended up on the couch crying!
