Museum Monday: Last Chance to Nominate PPIM + Drum Track Sessions
MUSEUM MONDAY: Best of Chicago Nominations Closing Tonight
From Martin
The Museum being named #1 museum in Chicago has really benefited us: an extra element that might have convinced some who were on the fence to make the trip to see what we have done, or others to donate an item. It’s not like we are seeking a validation – we actually just strive for everyone to have the most amazing personalized experience – that’s the main thing! The Chicago Reader award was just a cherry on the cake. I don’t think we realized what a handy post it note it would be alongside all of the visitors’ reviews. Just to say, “Plus, we were voted the #1 museum in Chicago!” That feels like it takes everything and puts a tattered, duct tape bow around it all.
Well, it’s that time again and the nominations end TONIGHT – so, if you’d like to remove the possibility that someone can say ‘anyone can do that once,’ and enable us to say ‘two years in a row,’ that would be amazing!
If you have the time in amongst everything else and would nominate us – that would be great – You need to type us in as a nomination – I don’t think there is a drop down.
Thankyou !!

CUSTOM DRUM TRACK LIVE If you missed out on one of my drum tracks – there’s one of those up for auction right now, too (starting at just $5)! This isn’t a full, live auction, but a 7-day listing for one more drum track before our next recording sessions November 11 + 12! See what others have said about Martin’s drumming: |
“10 words are too few to describe how amazing this experience has been. Sitting in my attic watching in case you didn’t feel like showing up live on vhs. My first introduction to the work of Martin Atkins. Never could I imagine one day I’d be sitting at my computer mixing drums he made for a track of mine. I could not be more pleased with the results.” -Jeffrey
“Martin’s track was inventive and amazing. Given a challenging piece to work on, he rose to the occasion and far surpassed any expectations!!!” -Michael
“Martin’s drumming is fierce and primal. He brings an aggressive energy that’s both chaotic and controlled, a rare combination that makes his playing truly unique.” -Trent Reznor (NiN) Source: Rolling Stone, 1994
“Martin was the backbone of PiL’s sound. His drumming was relentless, and he brought a power to the band that was unmistakable. He’s a master of controlled chaos.” -John Lydon (PiL) Source: Sex Pistols & Public Image Ltd. Interviews
