Museum Monday: New Year, New Artifacts, and New Discounts!

Museum Monday Reflections

It feels like the Holiday Season is mostly over. Travelers from Taiwan to Texas have visited and soaked in the museum. I love it when we’ve been on peoples’ ‘bucket lists’ for a year, and they finally get to visit.

The collection is at a point where I know that, in the last 18 months especially, not only has the collection grown – but the connections between pieces have grown, along with my knowledge-base too. Ex: The surprising connection between the 4’x4′ photo print of Johnny Rotten from the 1980 PiL tour and the Wax Trax store ? (and Brian Shanley?); The connection between Durruti Columns sandpaper sleeve album (the inspiration for so much at the museum) and PiL’s Metal Box ? — It just wont stop, and it’s glorious.

A Couple Notable New Arrivals this week are:

  • 1995/96 Nothing shirts

  • what looks to be Paul Ravens Killing Joke aluminum bass case (from Stoke to Texas then up to Chicago )

  • and more!

There are plenty of tours throughout the next few weeks as we celebrate Bowie’s Birthday (with a special edition shirt!) and a super cool Ministry themed Museum shirt, too!

Lets kick off the new year blues with a 40% off sale in the online store with code FYEAH shall we??

Come visit – it’s magic!

More news to come soon.
