Museum Monday: Our Weekend w Jason Pettigrew

Just absolutely, totally what you might want to have happen in a Post Punk and Industrial Museum – Jason Pettigrew has been such an eloquent voice for the good and the bad of all of it; snarky, sarcastic and with encyclopedic knowledge of the intricacies of the interconnected scenes, and justifiably opinionated in wonderful amounts. I wish we could’ve spent three whole days together. We will sometime soon as we continue to amass the oral history to accompany the objects of the Museum.

Jason was at the Museum to speak about his book, just released, on Ministry’s Land of Rape & Honey album with Bloomsburry Publishing’s acclaimed 33 1/3 Series. We talked, Jason read, guests ate donuts and asked questions, hung around and then Jason signed books. Amongst all of it (and there will be more on this later) Jody Cox stopped by with Phildo to donate the Charles Levi guitar, more donations of buttons, albums and more – someone dropped off a case of really nice AF Beer – thank you! I’ll have to make a separate post later in the week to detail all of its staggering wonderfulness: Coil, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Psychic TV, EXIT letterman jacket, Throbbing Gristle and Charles Manson…

Stay tuned + come visit – lots of museum events here, with more of the summer going live this week!

And thank you, Jason, so much!
