Museum Monday: Cleveland Roots, NiN, Flowers Update & More

MUSEUM MONDAY

If you have been to The Museum of Post Punk and Industrial Music, you’ll have heard me talk about the day Trent gave me his first demo tape – in the laundry room of Michele K. De Frasia’s dad’s house the day after a Brian Brain gig where Trent had played saxophone with us.

Michele described that day as one of her favourite in a 30+ year history of booking bands! Brian Brain loved Cleveland because Cleveland showed us so much love and support! Our transmission broke, so we ended up playing an extra show the next night. It seemed like we were always there, and nothing was too much trouble.

Now, Michele needs help and some love back – below is the link if you’re able to support. All of these hurt, but this one hurts a lot.

Thankyou

Congratulations to our winners of the Nine Inch Nails concert tickets giveaway! They were kind enough to take many photos to share, some of which we’re sharing with you now!

Thank you, again, to Andrew for your kind and generous donation of the tickets!

MERCHANDISE: THE ENGINE (VIRTUAL)

PWYW (including free)
Tues Mar 3 @ 7:45pm

None of this is about money – it’s about momentum and the ability for you to do the most cool and important thing: make music, communicate with people, and keep it going. It all needs money. The vehicle (literally and figuratively) needs fuel, and if you use merchandise as the tool that it is, it will keep it all moving.

I can show you some simple ways to make sure that when you complete this circle, you’ll be able to make your mark and come back to a better show and a larger crowd the next time you hit town!

FLOWERS OF ROMANCE REVISITED
Celebrating 45 Years

Sat April 11 @ Reggies Chicago

There are so many anniversaries to celebrate this year it seems – we just honored Extremities last November and this is the 35th anniversary of Pigface and, I think the 25th of The Damage Manual but, 45 years of this album feels important. Too important to ignore it.

Chris Connelly and I will be joined by Orville Kline on loops, Robert Byrne on guitar, Leyla Royale on cello, Alicia Gaines on bass, and Alan Lake on occasional percussion to revisit and celebrate this important album along with interpretations of the missing songs at Reggie’s Chicago on Saturday April 11th with a possible dress rehearsal in the round at The Museum as part of our 5th anniversary celebrations on April 10th (the actual day of the albums release).

This feels like it’s going to be an extraordinary year, to say the least.
