Auctions Thank You + 5th Anniversary Shirt

I have to take a moment here to thank everyone that came through for us this last weekend with a share/a bid/a buy/a comment for our Museum-fueling auction. It is crazy to me that this place and the community around it keep surprising me in the best possible way! It’s GREAT and very much appreciated that you bought some interesting, rare items, but I especially love the custom drum track part of this – it makes me feel like I’m on some kind of electricity generating bicycle keeping the lights on in a wonderful way. Thank you!. There were tours with visitors from all over the world Fri/Sat/Sunday and Monday – all different, but all special in their own different ways. This has for sure been the wildest most wonderful project of my life (so far?). There’s some mad stuff coming later this year so get ready! We have a team of 10 new interns from all kinds of disciplines and universities around the world, so we are anticipating some great progress and a lot of Dark Matter Coffee.

We have a cool new shirt too – celebrating our 5th year (whaaaat!) designed by Tronnie Goss! I might throw in some signed, hand screened posters (folded) for the first 50 or so if I get to mess around with those today – but no g’tees. But kind of.

IF you haven’t seen the pwyw Patreon yet – please go – there is so much awesome over there it’ll keep you busy for hours and vibing for days (and its free if you need it to be – we gotcha!)

ALSO, any time I think about the age of the Museum, I have to think about my second go around with sobriety which pretty much coincides with the beginning of all of this. So, as I pass the 5 year mark, I want to take a moment to encourage anyone to try sobriety and confirm that, holy shit it doesn’t have to mean the end of the crazy creative lunatic part of you – it might actually mark the beginning!

100 Club London, Celebrating 50th Punk Fest Anniversary
Fri and Sat September 18 + 19

The 100 Club of Soho London is celebrating 50 years since the original 100 Club Punk Festival with 1976: Celebrating 50 Years of Punk at the 100 Club – a 2-night celebration September 18 and 19. Night 1 will feature X Generation X, Stinky Toys (first appearance since 1977), and Terry Chimes (founding drummer of The Clash). Night 2 will include appearances from John McKay’s Reactor (exclusive banshees set), TV Smith & the Bored Teenagers (special Adverts 1977 set), and Marco Pirroni!

The following is a short background from the event organizers:

In 1976, a small Soho basement became the epicentre of a cultural earthquake. The 100 Club Punk Festival didn’t just showcase bands—it sparked a movement that reshaped music forever. Fifty years later, we return to the very same room where it began. On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September, we host two extraordinary nights at the 100 Club celebrating the birth of punk—featuring artists who helped define the era, alongside very special guests who were there at the beginning.
