Museum Monday – Pigface 35 Updates

What a wild, unusual thing this Pigface beast is.

I looked at the latest ticket sales this morning and we’re getting close to 50% sold out overall. Two VIP levels are already sold out.

And we haven’t even announced the fucking lineup yet.

Of all the things we’ve built over these years, it hit me this morning that trust is a big one. You’re coming without knowing who’ll be onstage. That’s a wonderful feeling. Thank you.

Obviously, I’m slightly tempted to make it just me and David J, behind a screen in silhouette, playing songs from his days driving an ice cream truck.**

But the trust goes both ways. The lineup is already amazing. We’re just sprinkling some fairy dust on it.

The museum was a treat this weekend too—so many people in town for Riot Fest, finding their way to us. Someone asked which of all the projects I’ve been involved with was my favorite.

Without hesitation: this museum. The wildest, most surprising journey of the lot and it’s all inextricably tangled up with the label and Pigface anyways. People, stories, objects, bad decisions — ha! I know – How about three bass players? And an inflatable boat? We have to open the museum up over Thanksgiving weekend. More on that soon.

Soooo, Get a ticket before you can’t. The $90 VIP is a ridiculous deal if you’re a fan and were going to buy a shirt and hit the merch booth anyway: your show ticket, a shirt, admission to the secret dress rehearsal the day before, AND $66 in merch coupons.

All VIPs will receive a letter from me in a week or so with the lineup.

There are still some tickets for Lol Tolhurst’s afternoon at the museum Tuesday — 2pm doors, 3pm start — stop in if you’d like. I have a small guest list if you need some room to breathe after Riot Fest, Cold Waves, Tear Garden, and Pigface expenses!
